I was laughing , for the first time in years .
They children were roleplaying what they heard from rumours .
They were full of doubts and suspicion , but it's pretty funny to see them acting it out .

For decades , I've been living in despondency ...
Nobody cared how I felt , be it whether I'm dead or alive , it never made a difference ...

Just had another chewing gum stuffed into the knot-hole .
Not sure whether anyone of them had found it yet . The weather's nice for a nap today . Haha .

I was woken up my the noises the kids were making .
Dill's back . I saw him .
And the next thing I knew was Scout all folded inside the tyre bumping on gravel then skeetered across the road and crashed onto the barrier . She landed onto the pavement , mannn .. looks painful . God , hope she didn't hurt herself while out having fun .

Heard the children's conversations awhile later after they had a break with their lemonades .
They were indecisive of what to play since they were all bored of their previous roleplays . Dill suggested something that concerns me ? -.- What on earth are they up to this time ...

I know they're dying to learn more about me . I know they can't help but wait . I know it all .
But is this the right time to show myself , yet ?

Got'cha Scout !
I had you lured to one of the oaks that stood at the edge of my lot . (:
Naive as she appears to be for her age , she's one really inquisitive and observant child .

She actually realised the two pieces of chewing gum I placed in a knot-hole despite she was running pass my place at such a quick pace . Intentionally , I kept the chewing gum wrapped in tin-foil just above her eye level to make sure that even if Jem missed it there's still a high possibility for Scout to find it .

Furthermore , Scout has been wearing a frown after school this few days . Is it because of school ? I sure do hope she feels better after receiving the gums . However , I watched her sniffed and smelled it before licking it and finally putting it into her mouth .
Wonder why she does that , looks adorable though . Silly girl !

There's a new boy in town !
Supposedly , his name's Dill hmm , at least I'm pretty sure that's what I heard Jem and Scout calling him .
I know I shouldn't be so judgemental ... but ...
First impression of Dill : In a nice way , adventurous . If not , mischievous .

I've never seen Jem/Scout having the courage to make their way so near my old droopy house , almost abandoned and forgotten , before . Usually they'll just watch in a distance where it's "safe" - the Finches' porch .

Well thanks to Dill , now it's easier for me to be closer with the kids .
I really want them as my friend , innocence is priceless . I'm so sick and tired of the hostility in grown ups .
I need something as a motivation to carry on breathing or else the rest of my days would be as meaningless as it seems now .

*Sneeze* I didn't know there was such a thick layer of dust on my front door till Jem slapped it with his palm .
*Cough* Time for a little clean up !
